With Faith

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Stampin' Up's "Ribbon of Courage" stamp set is one of my favorite sets in the catalog. I love the design--from Stampin' Up Million Dollar Earner Patty Bennett--and I love the font used for the sentiments. Plus, the sentiments say just the thing you want to say to someone who has been diagnosed with a scary disease or illness. Today's card is going to a special someone who is fighting the good fight against cancer and whose faith has never wavered during his fight--in fact, I think the fight has only served to strengthen him as well as those of us who love him!

I started by stamping the filigreed ribbon in Versamark Ink onto a Basic Black scrap. I sprinkled on some Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. Wowza is that spectacular! I cut out the ribbon with the matching Support Ribbon Framelit.
Next, I ran a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of So Saffron Card Stock through the Big Shot with the Hexagons Embossing Folder. I adhered this to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Crushed Curry Card Stock and then onto a Basic Black Card Stock card base.

I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Crushed Curry scrap and cut it out with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I adhered that to a mat that I cut out a Basic Black scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits. I adhered the oval and the ribbon to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I mimicked the front of the card on the inside by adhering a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of So Saffron Card Stock to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Crushed Curry Card Stock. I used another wonderful sentiment from the "Ribbon of Courage" inside.
You can't go wrong owning this set. Its message of courage and love will brighten anyone's day!

You Are Too Kind

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #fabfriday   One can never have too many thank you cards, amiright?  I like to send thank you cards because I like to receive thank you cards so I figure other folks like them, too!

Today's card is a quick and easy card based on the sketch at the Fab Friday challenge blog.

My design came together quickly once I choose the perfect piece of Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper. This card reminds me of ballet class for little girls. Can you see why?
I started with a 4" by 3-1/4" piece of polka dotted Powder Pink Whole Lot of Lovely DSP. I adhered this to a 4-1/8" by 3-1/8" piece of Basic Black Card Stock. I adhered a piece of a Delicate White Doily to the back of this and tied on a length of my favorite Shimmer Black Ribbon.

Next, I embossed the front of a Powder Pink Card Stock card base with the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder. I adhered the DSP piece directly to the card with Snail Adhesive.

Finally, I stamped one of the sentiments from the "One Big Meaning" stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a 1" strip of Whisper White Card Stock. I flagged the end with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered the strip to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Easy-peasy and really pretty if I do say so myself (and I do)!

Birthday Chef

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Yesterday's card used all three products from the Birthday Delivery stamp set and I promised to show you another card that I made using the "Birthday Delivery" stamp set.

Now you know, every time I have to color something, I complain about it. But you know what? I'm starting to like using the Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painters. I'm actually happy--yes, HAPPY--with the way my coloring turned out on the chef!!
I stamped the chef from the "Birthday Delivery" stamp set in Basic Gray Archival Ink onto a Whisper White scrap. I cut him out with the matching Birthday Friends Framelit.  Next, I laid down a thick scribble of Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Real Red, Basic Gray, and Pacific Point Watercolor Pencil on a scrap of Whisper White. I used a slightly damp Aqua Painter to color the chef. And yes, I'm going to say it again--I'm really happy with the way he turned out!!

Next, I cut a Whisper White oval and a Daffodil Delight scalloped oval using the Layering Ovals Framelits. I adhered the chef to the ovals with Stamping Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the "Birthday Delivery" stamp set in Real Red Ink onto a Daffodil Delight scrap and fussy cut it with my paper snips.  I ran a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of Pacific Point Card Stock through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder. I adhered this to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White Card Stock. I wrapped a length of Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon around these pieces before adhering them to a Daffodil Delight Card Stock card base.

To finish the card, I adhered the chef and ovals to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and then the sentiment with the cutie-pie Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

I'm telling you--this Birthday Delivery Bundle is the bomb!!

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Today's card is ever so sweet! And ever so easy to make with Stampin' Up's Birthday Delivery Bundle!

I started by using the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies to cut out the sweet little girl from a sheet of the Birthday Friends Designer Series Paper. I also cut a Whisper White oval and a Powder Pink scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the girl to the ovals.
Next, I stamped a sentiment from the "Birthday Delivery" stamp set in Pacific Point onto a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of Whisper White Card Stock. I adhered this to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Pacific Point Card Stock.  I wrapped a length of Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon around this before adhering it to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock Card base.

Finally, I adhered the ovals to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and added three Pacific Point Enamel Shapes for a bit of fun. Don't you love the little heart with the sweet girl?!
