Memories & More Quick Card

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   With the 2017-2018 catalog, Stampin' Up is introducing its own line of memory keeping products called "Memories & More."  I'm so excited about these products--for two reasons.  First, they coordinate with Stampin' Up's beautiful line of colors, stamp sets, and accessories. And second, because they make memory keeping so easy--just drop in your photos and Memories & More cards, add some journaling and cute embellishments and you're done!  But wait! There's even more to love about the Memories & More products--you can use them in your card making, too!

At the OnStage event in April, we made an awesome card using  a couple of cards from the Color Theory Memories and More Card Pack as well as the coordinating "Color Theory" stamp set (which is awesome! Stay tuned for some cards using that set!)

First, we fussy cut the large Berry Burst flower from one of the cards. Next, we stamped a few tiny flowers from the "Color Theory" stamp set in Island Indigo Ink across an Island Indigo Card Stock card base.  Next, we cut down and adhered a grid paper card to the card base. We stamped the larger flower and sentiment in Old Olive onto another card and adhered that to the card.

For the finishing touch, we added a 5" piece of the new Crushed Curry 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon to the card and then added the fussy cut flower using Stampin' Dimensionals.  So quick and so cute!

The links to the products below will be active on June 1, 2017, when the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up catalog goes live.

Hip Hop Fox

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Today's card is another sneak peek from the upcoming Stampin' Up catalog.  We made this adorable card at the OnStage catalog reveal event in April.  I love being a Stampin' Up demonstrator for so many reasons--not the least of which are the fabulous preview events where we get to see and play with the new product well in advance of the items being offered for sale.

This card is made with products from the Birthday Memories Suite.  It features the "Birthday Delivery" stamp set and matching Birthday Friends Framelits Dies.  If you order these two items in a bundle--and after you read on, you'll know why you simply must do that--you'll save 10% over ordering them separately.

The fun part about this suite is that the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies match the images in the stamp set and the images on the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper. Such a great idea!  The fox and his banner is one image on the DSP and we cut that out with the matching framelit.  We stamped "hip hip hooray" on the banner in Early Espresso Ink.

Next, we stamped the gift box in Crumb Cake Ink across a Crumb Cake Card Stock card base.  We stamped the "let's celebrate your day" sentiment in Early Espresso Ink onto a 3/4" by 3-7/8" strip of Pacific Point Card Stock. We adhered a 1" by 3-7/8" strip of Birthday Friends DSP directly to the card base and then the stamped strip directly on top of that.  We adhered the adorable fox to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

This suite is so fabulous! The other images in the stamp set and on the DSP are equally adorable. You'll need to order everything in the Birthday Memories Suite!!  If you want the supplies to make this card, you can click on the "shop online" button on the right starting on June 1, 2017, and you'll go directly to my online store where you can place your order.

Delightful Daisy

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #newcatalog   In just one week, June first to be exact, the new Stampin' Up catalog will go live!  It's amazing!!  If you're one of my regular customers you already have it in your hot little hands.  I'll be posting a link to the online version on June first, or you can contact me and I'll let you know how to get your own copy.

In the meantime, I'm going to share some NEW stuff from the catalog.  The first few projects are ones that we made at the OnStage event in April where the catalog was revealed and we got to play with and win new products from the catalog!  Today's card is made with the amazing new "Daisy Delight" stamp set and matching Daisy Punch.  These two items come in a bundle that saves you 10% over purchasing each item separately.

We stamped the daisy image in Daffodil Delight Ink, twice, onto Whisper White Card Stock and punched both flowers out with the Daisy Punch.  We stamped the sentiment--also from the "Daisy Delight" set--in Island Indigo Ink onto a 3/4" strip of Whisper White Card Stock.  Next, we stamped the leaf outline image in Pool Party Ink onto a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Pool Party Card Stock.  We adhered two strips of the gorgeous Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper to the center of the panel along with a length of the new Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon.  We adhered the sentiment strip to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

We offset the daisies and adhered them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals, too.  For a finishing touch, we added a Gold Faceted Gem to the center of the daisy before adhering everything to an Island Indigo Card Stock card base.
When the catalog goes live on June first, you can click on the thumbnails below and go straight to my online store where you can order everything you need to make this card--and you NEED to make this card! It's quick and easy and delightful!!

Congratulations, My Sweet Graduates!

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   #classof2017   #chs2017   My sweet twins graduated from high school last night.  I'm such a proud mom!  They've both brought such joy to our family (but not without a few bumps--some BIG bumps--along the way)!! I'm so grateful that God blessed our family with these two precious souls!  I can't wait to see what life brings them.  They'll be heading to Harding University in August and I'm so excited for them.

I made them matching graduation cards in their high school colors--Pacific Point, Real Red, and Whisper White.  I started with a Pacific Point Card Stock card base and added a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Real Red mat.  Next, I embossed a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of Whisper White Card Stock with the (retiring) Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.

I used the Up & Away Framelits to cut a large balloon from a Gold Foil Sheet.  I used the balloon pieces framelits from the same set to cut Pacific Point and Real Red pieces to go behind the balloon. I adhered the balloon elements to the card with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

I stamped a sentiment from the "Lift Me Up" stamp set in Pacific Point onto a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the (retiring) Decorative Label Punch.  I tousled some Gold Metallic Thread and adhered the label on top using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I'm pretty sure they liked the cards--my DD said she really liked hers--but I know they loved their upgraded iPhones (better to keep in touch with you while your away, my dears)!

A New Look!

#faithfulinkspirations   I've been wanting to refresh my blog for a while, but I'm a novice when it comes to using any graphic design tools and I really didn't want to pay to have a whole new look created.  So, I thought I might be able to DIY my blog refresh--on the cheap!

I searched Pinterest for "blog headers free" and found one that I really liked at Angie Makes.  It was super quick to download the beautiful pink watercolor wash that's the background for my new header.  Angie also has other freebies on her blog.  I choose some of her free tropical watercolor flowers for my header and my blog buttons (over there on the right). I chose her beautiful darling daisies for my new signature!

Once I had these images downloaded, I watched three YouTube videos on using PicMonkey to create my graphics. PicMonkey is also super easy to use and it's FREE!! You can also try it out for a FREE 7-day trial to unlock more features than on the free version. I did that because I wanted #allthefonts! I'm still debating whether to keep it or not--but I have a week to decide.

So, what do you think of my new look? Leave me a comment with your feedback. I'll be back tomorrow with some stampy goodness!

Blissful Birthday

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   It wouldn't be right to feature the gorgeous Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper that coordinates so wonderfully with the "Penned & Painted" stamp set.  Unfortunately, this DSP is already SOLD OUT.  See? I've been telling you that you have to act quickly if you want any retiring tools or accessories because they do sell out! You could certainly recreate this card with another of Stampin' Up's wonderful DSP collections. It's another easy-peasy design!
I started by cutting a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of the Blooms & Bliss DSP and adhering it to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Mint Macaron Card Stock mat.  I wrapped a length of Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon (also SOLD OUT) around this before adhering it to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise and turned sideways.

Next, I stamped a flower from the "Penned & Painted" set onto a 4-1/4" by 1-3/4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock.  The outline of the flower is stamped with Island Indigo Ink and both inside parts are stamped with Mint Macaron Ink.  The sentiment is from the "Oh So Succulent" stamp set and it's also stamped in Island Indigo.  I  backed this piece with a 4-3/8" by 1-3/4" piece of Island Indigo Card Stock.  I adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For a finishing touch, I added a bit of a Lace Doily (also SOLD OUT).  You could use a Delicate Doily here--they're carrying over to the new catalog!!

As you can see, you have to act fast if you want any of these supplies. The stamp sets should be available until the end of May, but the tools and accessories are only available while supplies last and then they're gone forever.  The retiring items are in red in this post.
