Just Beecause

#stampinup    #onstage2016   Today I'm sharing another NEW product from the NEW 2016-2017 Stampin' Up catalog. It's based on a card shown on one of the inspiration boards at the OnStage Live event.

This card uses the totes adorbs host set "Pun Intended." This set is super cute--and the only way to get it is to host a stamping event. Contact me today to schedule YOUR event--and then you'll be able to get this set (with a qualifying workshop order)!

I stamped the bee in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Whisper White mat. I colored the bee with a Delightful Dijon Stampin' Write Marker. I also stamped the arrow outline and "just beecause" stamps from the "Pun Intended" set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Delightful Dijon scrap. I fussy cut the arrow with my Paper Snips and adhered it to the card with a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals. I drew a hashed line from the bee to the sentiment using a Project Life Journaling Pen.

I added a 1/2" strip of Delightful Dijon card stock to the mat and then wrapped it with Basic Black Baker's Twine. I tied a bow at the bottom.

I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Basic Black mat, and then used Stampin' Dimensionals to add the assembly to a Whisper White Thick Card Stock card base. Simple! And so stinkin' cute!!

Here's a closer detail of the card so you can see how cute the sentiment is--and the bee is totally adorbs, too. Stay tuned, because later this week I'm going to show you another card from this fabulous host set!

Happy Hearts

#stampinup   #OnStage2016   This week I'm going to start showing you some NEW product from the upcoming Stampin' Up catalog. I know you can't wait to order from the catalog. Don't have one? Contact me and I can hook you up!! I'm also going to CASE some projects that I saw at the OnStage Live event in Salt Lake City in April. I took loads of pictures of the projects and want to share that inspiration with you.

Today's card is quick and easy and clean and simple and it uses three of the NEW 2016-2018 In Colors:  Flirty Flamingo, Emerald Envy, and Dapper Denim. I punched hearts using the Sweetheart Punch from all three colors and arranged them on a Whisper White Panel. I stamped a sentiment from the "Watercolor Wishes" stamp set in Dapper Denim.

I adhered this to a Dapper Denim mat...but, wait! I didn't want to waste any of that new card stock, so I punched my shapes in the middle where they won't be seen. I don't know why I never thought of that before. Then, I adhered everything to a Whisper White Thick Card Stock card base. And for a final touch, I added a Basic Rhinestone to each of the hearts.

Get out your catalog and start making your list! I know you're going to want it all! I do! If you'd like to schedule a stamping event, just give me a call and we'll set it up!!

NOTE: The supplies from the new catalog won't be available until June 1, 2016...but you can click away on them on the list below starting that day!!

English Garden Thoughts

#stampinup   My favorite designer series paper in the 2015-16 Stampin' Up catalog, by far, is English Garden. I love it so much that I hoarded it for the entire Stampin' Up year. (And I know I'm not the only one who does that!!) But now I have some left and I don't want it to go to waste, so I made a stack of quick and easy cards that showcase this pretty paper.

I started with a floral panel of the English Garden DSP (retiring--and sold out) and backed it with a Melon Mambo mat. I added a length of Tip Top Taupe 1" Dotted Lace Trim (retiring)--until I ran out of it--before adhering everything to a Mossy Meadow (retiring) card base.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the "Rose Wonder" stamp set in Melon Mambo onto a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the Note Tag Punch (retiring). I punched a small hole at the top of the tag with the 1/16" Hand-Held Circle Punch so that I could tie the tag onto the Tip Top Taupe ribbon with some Linen Thread. I anchored the tag at a jaunty angle using a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals.

When I ran out of Tip Top Taupe ribbon, I made a couple of plain cards, which I think turned out almost as pretty as the others with ribbon!

Here are all the cards that I made in less than 30 minutes. I'm going to donate them to my church. They have a "Monday for the Master" meeting where they pray for church members--and their friends and family--who have requested prayers. They also send cards to those who have requested prayers. I'm glad I can contribute to this effort in my own way.

Washi Stars

#stampinup   It's graduation time and I always have a list of graduates to send cards to. Our church does a graduation dinner every year to honor all the graduates. I remember the party they had for me way back in 1975 (can it be that long ago?!), so I like to make sure all our graduates get a card, at least!

I saw an awesome technique using washi tape on Mary Fish's blog and thought it would be perfect for a couple of graduation cards. I made both cards very quickly using Mary's technique.

For the first card, I applied all 5 types of the Cherry on Top Washi Tape (retiring) diagonally onto a Whisper White panel, wrapping the ends around to the back of the panel. Then I cut out a star shape using one of the Stars Framelits. I aligned this on top of a Bermuda Bay mat and cut out the same size star so that the Whisper White Thick Card Stock base would show through and I could stamp my sentiment from the "And Many More" set (retiring) in Bermuda Bay ink right onto the card base. Quick and cute--but wait! There's more!

I had the washi tape cut-out star left over to use on another card! For my second card, I stamped the sentiment from the "Pictogram Punches" set (retiring) in Bermuda Bay onto a Whisper White panel. I adhered the cut out washi tape star to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Then I put down a couple of strips of the Cucumber Crush washi tape onto a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (retiring). I adhered the star on top of the sentiment with a tiny piece of a Stampin' Dimensional. Another quick and easy card!

Here they are together. So cute and quick. Great cards for graduation!
