Lookin' Sharp

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   It was love at first site when I saw the True Gentleman Suite in Stampin' Up's Occasions catalog. There's something about bold designs and clean lines that I'm really drawn to. Plus, both the "Truly Tailored" stamp set and the True Gentleman Designer Series Papers have a bit of whimsy to them--and who doesn't like a bit of whimsy?

For this card, I let the DSP shine. I used the Tailored Tag Punch to punch six hexagons from the True Gentleman DSP. I stamped one of the sentiments from the "Truly Tailored" stamp set in Night of Navy Ink onto Very Vanilla Card Stock and punched that out with the Tailored Tag Punch as well. I cut two of the hexagons in half and adhered each to a corner of a 3-3/4" by 5" Very Vanilla mat. Next, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the stamped piece and then another DSP hexagon, just to the right of that. Once these pieces were down, I eyeballed the placement of the middle upper and middle lower hexagons. I adhered this piece to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Night of Navy mat and then on to a Tranquil Tide Card Stock card base. I stamped the bow tie in Night of Navy onto the corner of a Very Vanilla Envelope.

I don't always stamp the insides of my cards, but I was inspired to add an "innie" to this one. I stamped another sentiment from the "Truly Tailored" stamp set in Tranquil Tide onto a 3-3/4" by 5" Very Vanilla mat. I added the cute art deco design just underneath in Night of Navy. I adhered this piece to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Night of Navy mat and then to the inside of the card. I think the finished card is truly tailored, indeed.

When you purchase the "Truly Tailored" stamp set and Tailored Tag Punch together in a bundle (wood mount item #146089/clear mount item #146752), you'll save 10% off purchasing them separately. If you purchase the True Gentleman DSP (item #145593) to go along with the bundle and the True Gentleman Card Stock Pack (item #145595), you'll reach the $50 sweet spot and can earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration item! It doesn't get better than that!!

Fun and Easy Picture Perfect Birthday

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I'm holding a new catalog open house on Sunday. My guests will get to see some of the great products in Stampin' Up's Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs.  They'll also get to see some sample projects. And they'll get to create a make-and-take card using some fun, new toys.

I wanted to have a card that would be quick and easy, but that also shows off some a new stamp set, new designer series paper, and a little something from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. I found this wonderful card created by Mary Fish and thought that I could make a few modifications to meet my make-and-take goals. Here's how my card turned out.

I'm going to pre-cut the Whisper White circle with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits and I'll pre-cut the Lemon Lime Twist scalloped circle mat from one of the Layering Circles Framelits. My guests will stamp three of the candles from the "Picture Perfect Birthday" stamp set in Bermuda Bay Ink. They'll add candle flames in Peekaboo Peach. The sentiment is from the same set and they'll stamp that in Basic Black Archival Ink.

They'll use the Banner Triple Punch to flag the end of a 5" by 2" strip of the fabulous Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper and adhere it to a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White panel. Then they'll adhere that to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Lemon Lime Twist mat. They'll add a length of Bermuda Bay Shimmer Ribbon--part of a ribbon 3-pack that can be earned FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-Bration--around the assembled piece before using Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere it to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.

Finally, they'll use Stampin' Dimensionals to add the stamped image to the card. And the finishing touch will be three Tutti-Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins. Isn't this card sweet?!

Pretty Birthday Wishes

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I've been saving some of the swap cards I received during the November OnStage event. I had so many Christmas ideas and then I had to share the fun new stuff from the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs. But let's not forget that the annual catalog has awesome stamp sets, designer series papers, and accessories.  This card features some wonderful products from the annual catalog. It was made by Linda Wright.

Linda stamped the "birthday wishes" sentiment, flower, and branches from the "Happiest of Days" stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock. She cut this out with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelit and adhered it to a Tranquil Tide scalloped oval mat, cut with one of the Layering Ovals Framelits. Linda colored the flower with Pool Party Ink and the leaves with Old Olive Ink and a Blender Pen. I love her soft, subtle coloring!

Next, Linda embossed a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Pool Party Card Stock with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder. She adhered this to a Whisper White Card Stock card base.  She added a 1-3/4" by 5-1/8" strip of Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper to the card and then used Stampin' Dimensionals to add the sentiment piece. She added two Glitter Enamel Dots to the sentiment piece for a lovely finishing touch.

I love this card! I may just need to get that "Happiest of Days" set so I can recreate this card!! If you want to recreate the card yourself, click on the links for each product below and you'll be sent right to my online store where you can purchase your supplies! And if your order totals $50 or more (before shipping and tax) you'll be eligible for a FREE Sale-a-Bration product!!

Birthday Panda

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I think my favorite Sale-a-Bration item this year is the "Party Pandas" stamp set.  Those little pandas are too stinkin' cute!  Since the pandas are typically black and white, I figure they need to be surrounded by color. Look at this!

I stamped the panda in Basic Black Archival Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut him out with one of the Layering Circles Framelits--and yes, I didn't include his balloon in the circle. I adhered the panda to a Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock scalloped circle cut from another of the Layering Circles Framelits.

I'm in love with the new Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder, so I used it to emboss a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of Whisper White Card Stock. I adhered that to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" piece of Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock before wrapping a length of Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon around. Finally, I added everything to a Berry Burst Card Stock card base.

I stamped "happy birthday" from the "Party Pandas" set in Berry Burst onto a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch. Then I snipped out the individual words, cutting off each end of the punched piece and separating the words. I adhered these to the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I adhered the panda to the card with regular Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the panda's balloon onto a Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock scrap and fussy cut it with my Paper Snips. I added this to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional.

For a finishing touch, I added three colorful Tutti-Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins to the card. I think this panda is simply adorable, don't you?
