Christmas Fridays in July (Part 3)

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   It's July and it's Friday, so that means it's another Christmas Friday in July!  Today's card is another that we'll be making during one of my upcoming Christmas card making classes held in August, September, October, and November. Please click on the tab above for more details. If you're local to Ellicott City, Maryland, we'd love to have you! If you're interesting in a long distance option, please let me know and we can work something out!

This card is super simple and I think the bold colors and lots of white space along with the graphic designs really make this card pop!
I started with a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of Be Merry Designer Series Paper and adhered it to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Cherry Cobbler mat.

Next, I stamped the sentiment from the "Merry Mistletoe" stamp set in Cherry Cobbler Ink onto a 3-3/4" by 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped three Christmas trees from the same set in Garden Green ink underneath.

I adhered the stamped piece to the DSP and then I wrapped a length of Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stiched Ribbon around, at the top of the stamped piece. I adhered this to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base and we're done! See? Super Simple!

Four P's

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations  There's a saying in the military that talks about the five P's: prior planning prevents poor performance.  We use that in our house many times.  Well, today's blog post is brought to you by the four P's: Paper Pumpkin Positively Picturesque.  That's the name of the July 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit and, as usual, it's totally adorable!

I opened the kit to find two ink spots: Tranquil Tide and Soft Sky; two rolls of washi tape; and the cutest wood elements!  I made the entire set of cards in about one hour. That's the beauty of Paper Pumpkin--it comes with everything you need to make the projects in about an hour.  Consider it your crafting "me time!"

Here's the set of cards that I made. I told you that they're totes adorbs!

And look at the envelopes with the cool printed insides!

Here are the individual cards. So sweet!

You know, it's very easy to get your own monthly crafty me time--just subscribe to Paper Pumpkin! Just click on the subscribe button on the right side of this blog and you'll go right to the Paper Pumpkin website where you can learn about the wonderful monthly kits and subscribe to receive yours.

Wanna see how easy they are to put together? Here's a video that shows you! Along with the full-color printed instructions that come with your Paper Pumpkin kit, Stampin' Up posts a video so you can watch a demonstrator put the kit together. How great is that?!

Happy Stampin'!

A Peachy Birthday

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I'm head over heels in love with the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper. I love the bold colors and patterns and the fact that Basic Black is in the mix.  I love me some Basic Black!!
Today's card is really simple and quick to make, too! I started with a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Pool Party mat. On top of that I layered a 3" by 3-7/8" piece of Whole Lot of Lovely DSP at the top (peaches) and a 2-1/2" by 3-7/8" piece of DSP at the bottom (flowers). I wrapped a length of Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon at the seam between these two pieces and adhered everything to a Basic Black Card Stock card base.

Next, I stamped the "Stylized Birthday" stamp in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Whisper White scrap and cut it out with one of the larger Layering Circles Framelits. I backed this with a Tranquil Tide scalloped circle mat, also cut with one of the Layering Circles Framelits. I added this element to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and BAM! Done! Cute, huh?

I think next time I make this card, I might sub out the Basic Black Archival Ink and use Tranquil Tide Ink instead. Oh! And maybe use Tranquil Tide 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon instead of the Basic Black. What do you think?

Perky Poodle

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I wasn't so sure I liked the Birthday Delivery bundle when I first saw it at Stampin' Up's OnStage event. But it grew on me and now I'm quite fond of it. What I absolutely LOVE about this bundle is that the framelits not only coordinate with the stamped images, but they coordinate with the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper! What an awesome idea!!

The Birthday Delivery Bundle features three items, instead of the usual two. It has the "Birthday Delivery" stamp set and the coordinating Birthday Friends Framelits and Birthday Memories DSP. When you purchase these items as a bundle, you save 10% over purchasing them separately. What a deal!

For today's card, I used one of the framelits to cut out the perky poodle from the DSP. I adhered this to a circle of Crumb Cake Card Stock that I cut with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
Next, I adhered a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of Birthday Memories DSP to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Whisper White mat. Then, I stamped a sentiment from the "Birthday Delivery" set in Early Espresso onto a 1" strip of Crumb Cake Card Stock that I flagged with the Banner Triple Punch. I adhered the banner to the DSP piece and then wrapped a length of Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon lengthwise around this before adhering it to a Crumb Cake Card Stock card base.

Finally, I added the poodle and her circle to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

This card is super sweet, don't you think? And it came together in no time!

Christmas in Fridays in July (Part Two)

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   Yes, I know it's only July. Yes, I know it's over 100 degrees and a million percent humidity in Maryland, but I'm still going to show you a Christmas card. This is one of the cards that we'll be making in my upcoming Christmas card stamp-a-stacks.  The first one is on August 26th--so the classes will be starting in no time! If you're local to Ellicott City, Maryland, click on the tab at the top of the blog to get all the details on the classes. If you're interested in a long-distance option, send me an email and we'll talk about how we can make that happen!

Today's card is made with the super versatile "Colorful Seasons" stamp set. Yes, there are stamps for every season in that set, hence the descriptive name! I used some very non-traditional Christmas colors on this card!
I started with a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White panel and stamped the two sizes of snowflakes from "Colorful Seasons" randomly from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. I used Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay Inks. I think this combo is stunning! I adhered this to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Lemon Lime Twist mat. Then I wrapped a length of Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon around before adhering to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.

Next, I stamped the "Christmas Wishes" sentiment from the "Merry Mistletoe" set in Bermuda Bay Ink onto a Whisper White scrap and cut it out with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I cut a Bermuda Bay scalloped oval using one of the Layering Ovals Framelits. I added this piece to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I cut a snowflake using one of the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies--that coordinate with the "Colorful Seasons" set--and adhered it to the card with a Glue Dot.  PRO TIP: Save some paper by cutting your snowflake out of the middle of the oval mat, like this.

For a finishing touch of bling, I popped a medium-sized Basic Rhinestone Jewel in the center of the die-cut snowflake. Cute!
