Note Card Soiree Set

#stampinup   #saleabration2018   #faithfulinkspirations   Sale-a-Bration ends in less than two weeks--but there's still time to get in on all the action and get some FREE stuff! Who doesn't like free stuff?!

One of my favorite choices of all the FREE SAB products are the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes. You get 16 pre-printed card bases and envelopes, 4 each of 4 designs in Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, and Pool Party. They are adorable!! If you want to get them for FREE, all you have to do is place a $50 order with me and you can choose the cards as your free Sale-a-Bration item. Since these cards are meant to coordinate with the Tutti-Frutti product suite in the Occasions catalog, you could order the Fruit Basket Bundle ("Fruit Basket" stamp set and Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack), item 145977, $35, AND the Lemon-Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon, item 145611, $8, AND the Tutti-Frutti 6" by 6" Designer Series Paper Pack, item 145606, $10, for a total of $53 and then choose the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes as your FREE SAB item (147242)!

I actually used the Sweet Soiree Bundle of products for my cards. But first, let me show you the OG card that inspired me. My friend, Chris Riley made this card to congratulate me on being chosen as a display stamper at the upcoming Stampin' Up OnStage Local event in Harford, Connecticut.
Chris used the flower from the "Amazing You" stamp set that's another FREE Sale-a-Bration item! She stamped the flower in Daffodil Delight Ink onto the Daffodil Delight Card. Chris used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere a 2" by 3" piece of Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP and to 2-1/4" by 3-1/4" piece of Powder Pink Card Stock. She stamped a sentiment in Old Olive and the floral image in Berry Burst Ink from the "Cake Soiree"stamp set onto a 1-3/8" circle of Whisper White Card Stock. She used the 1/8" Hand-Held Circle Punch to make a hole in the tag, tied on a length of Silver Baker's Twine and stapled it to a length of Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon before adhering this to the DSP. For a finishing touch, Chris added some Tutti-Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins to the card. So cute!!

I loved Chris's card so much that I made my own set. I used one of the flowers from the "Cake Soiree" stamp set where Chris had used the "Amazing You" set. I also used different colors of card stock and ribbon to coordinate with the Tutti-Frutti note cards. But the design is all Chris's! Here's my card in Calypso Coral.

Here's the set of cards done with Chris's design. I made two of each of the four colors. Look at the adorable matching envelopes!
I put my cards in one of the Acetate Card Boxes and wrapped a Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP belly band around. The band is 3" by 12", scored at 3-1/2", 4-1/4". 8-3/4" and 9-1/2". I used Tear & Tape to secure the band. Then I tied on a 20" length of Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon, added a piece of a Silver Foil Doily to a tag that matches the cards and adhered this to the box. What a pretty gift for someone special!
If you've got Sale-a-Bration items on your wish list, don't delay because SAB ends on March 31!!

An Emerald Shamrock

#stampinup   #faithfulinkspirations   I've had this card in my head for a couple of weeks, but I hadn't sat down to make it. And then I looked at the calendar and blammo! St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow! How did that happen?! Time flies, huh?

This card was super easy to make ("super easy to make" is sort of my "brand"). And I love that it uses an older, standby stamp set, "Teeny Tiny Wishes." I'm wondering if it will make it to the new Stampin' Up catalog. I hope so! I use it a lot!
I embossed a 3-3/4" by 5" Whisper White Card Stock panel with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder and adhered it to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Basic Black Card Stock Panel. I wrapped a length of Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon around this before adhering it to an Emerald Envy Card Stock Card Base.

I cut a Whisper White square using a Layering Square Framelit and a scalloped Emerald Envy square with another Layering Square Framelit. I stamped the sentiment in Emerald Envy Ink onto the Whisper White square, adhered it to the Emerald Envy mat, and then adhered this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Next, I cut four Emerald Envy hearts from the heart in the Wood Crate Framelits set. The stem is from the Sweet Cake Framelits.  I punched a 1" circle of Whisper White Card Stock (you could use any color) to use as a base while I assembled the shamrock. I put a Stampin' Dimensional on each heart piece and then onto the circle. When I was finished, I bent the shamrock leaves a bit and then adhered it to the card.

Like I said, it was super easy to make and it's ever so cute, don't you think? Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Festive Panda

 Mid Challenge Reminder 3

#stampinup   #saleabration2018   #faithfulinkspirations   #FF0003   The Festive Friday challenge is a fun one this time! The challenge is to use either something that celebrates national panda day or black and white or both!

My card is a little bit panda and a little bit black and white and a whole lot of festive!

I'd seen a card nearly like this one that used the "Party Panda" set to make a panda selfie and I thought it was cute. I started out with an idea just to do the selfie, but once I'd cut out all my elements, I decided making it a panda selfie shaker card was just the thing!
I cut a piece of striped Picture Perfect Party 6" by 6" Designer Series paper to 3-3/4" by 5" and adhered it to a 3-7/8" by 5-1/8" Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock mat and then onto a Berry Burst Card Stock card base. I cut a 2-5/8" square out of a 3-1/4" by 3-3/4" Whisper White piece using one of the Layering Squares Framelits. I stamped the party hat panda from "Party Pandas" in Basic Black Archival Ink onto the cut-out square and colored his hat with Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Peekaboo Peach, and Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Markers. I adhered this piece directly to the card.

Then I adhered a 3" Window Sheet square to the back of the larger Whisper White piece. I framed the back side of the window outline with Foam Adhesive Strips and added a row of Stampin' Dimensionals at the bottom. I dropped a bunch of Metallics Sequins onto the panda and then adhered the Whisper White frame on top.
Finally, I cut a 1" strip of Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock and flagged the end with the Banner Triple Punch. I stamped the sentiment from the "Picture Perfect Birthday" set in Night of Navy and then adhered this to the card.

I think this card is really cute and it was amazingly simple and fast, too!
